Participants are given specific and deliberate exercises with the horses where the horses become metaphors. None of the interaction with the horses includes riding or horsemanship. All of the activities are unmounted. This allows clients to engage certain skills such as:
After the participants complete their activities with the horses, the treatment team (a mental health professional & an equine specialist) offers observations about the horse behavior in the session. This allows for the participant(s) to bring metaphorical meaning to those behaviors. They are also challenged to reflect upon their own attitudes, emotions, relationships, and leadership during their session with the horses. Then, the treatment team helps them translate those experiences from what is
happening in the arena to what is happening in their own lives, families, or workplace.

Individual, group, and family sessions are available to address your specific treatment goals and personal schedule. The cost of each session or group of sessions depends on how many people are in each session and how many sessions you, your group, or family require.
